Did you know that approximately 50% of breast cancer patients with inherited high-risk genetic mutations are missed when genetic testing is restricted to 1) patients meeting standard guidelines criteria and 2) when testing is limited to panels containing only BRCA1/2 panels. --
I follow the recommendations of the American Society of Breast Surgeons "Consensus Guideline on Genetic Testing for Hereditary Breast Cancer" which states that genetic testing should be made available to ALL patients with a personal history of breast cancer. Genetic testing should include BRCA1/BRCA2 and PALB2.
