WIPO Director General on Geographical Indications WIPO Director General Francis Gurry shares thoughts on geographical indications (GIs) and the Geneva Act of WIPO’s Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications.
The interview took place at WIPO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on the occasion of February 26, 2020, entry into force of the Geneva Act, which allows for international registration of geographical indications in addition to appellations of origin through a single registration procedure with WIPO.
