Haseeb Mirza has been sentenced to life in prison today for the murder of Malik Hussain. He will have to serve a minimum of 21 years before he can apply for parole. The two drug dealers who stabbed a father-of-four and left him to die in a Birmingham street has today (Wednesday 12 February) been convicted of murder after we found the two Rambo-style knives used in the brutal attack hidden at his home.
Malik Hussain was fatally stabbed and dumped in a street after a row erupted when he and a friend got into a car with Haseeb Mirza and another man, outside a nightclub in Digbeth and drove to Sparkbrook.
The court heard that both brothers were drug dealers and on July 12 last year had been sitting in a car outside Pandora's Box night club in Digbeth waiting for customers.
Mr Hussain and friend Adeel Yousaf were looking to buy cocaine and got into their vehicle.
But Mr Adrian Keeling QC, prosecuting, said the brothers then received a call to meet another customer so the car drove out of the Digbeth area.
At 11.19pm the Volkswagen Golf they were travelling in stopped in Baker Street, Sparkhill, where Mr Hussain was stabbed by Adeeb Mirza, Birmingham Crown Court was told.
He was then dragged out of the vehicle and stamped on and the brothers then drove off and later took a taxi and had a meal at a fast food restaurant.
