Chemical Obtained from Common Salt-II: Class X (Chap 2: Part XIV) In this video, two important chemicals, namely baking soda and washing soda that are obtained from common salt have been dealt with. The general information, preparation and uses of both the compounds have been explained with various examples. The making of baking powder, its uses and the difference between baking soda and baking powder has also been discussed. Additionally, to strengthen the concepts learnt, questions from NCERT textbook, CBSE sample paper as well as NCERT exemplar have been taken up.
