Java 1.16 has brought with it a new material that you can craft into armor. Netherite can be combined with your Diamond Armor to create Netherite Armor. It has a few benefits over the Diamond including increased durability, and it won't be destroyed if dropped in lava (with no durability reduction from fire damage), but more importantly it has increased toughness (and knock back resistance). Does that mean a full set of Netherite is the best armor? While it is better than traditional Diamond Armor, the answer is NO.
