Iraqi military: At least 8 killed in Baghdad airport rocket attack Iran's former Revolutionary Guards chief Rezaei vows "vigorous revenge against America" after the Pentagon confirmed that U.S. President Trump ordered strikes on the Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani at Baghdad airport. The U.S. said the move was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans. The Iraqi military says at least 8 people were killed in attack. The victims included members of Iraqi paramilitary groups. Iraqi state television said among the dead were Iranian Major-General Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhand. The rockets landed near the air cargo terminal, burning two vehicles. U.S. troops with the 82nd Airborne Division arrived in Kuwait. Washington says the move is part of the Immediate Response Force in response to current regional situation.
