Authorities say no more survivors expected in New Zealand volcano eruption New Zealand authorities have said they do not believe there are any more survivors left on White Island after a volcano erupted at 2pm local time on Dec 9. When the volcano erupted, there were around 50 people on the island.
Five people have since been confirmed dead and up to 20 people have been injured.
