There is a type of work known as Outsider Art, but what it is isn't so clear. In this video, let's unpack why it's called "Outsider Art" and why it's not considered part of mainstream or "cultural art". It used to be known as Folk Art or Art Brut, but the terminology change has some interesting beginnings. The name itself may also have some interesting consequences.
