भारत को आज़ाद कराने में लाखों स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों ने अपनी जान गवाई और लाखों माओं ने अपने बच्चे क़ुर्बान कर दिए. 1857 में शहीद मंगल पांडे व रानी लक्ष्मीबाई ने आज़ादी की जो मशाल जलायी उससे देश के कोने-कोने में आज़ादी की लड़ायी की चिंगारियां फूटने लगी. शहीद भगत सिंह, राजगुरु, नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस, बाल गंगाधर तिलक, विपिन चंद्रा पाल, और लाखों अन्य देशभक्तों ने मिल के अंग्रेजो से लोहा लेना शुरू कर दिया. एक एक क़दम पे ज़िंदगी और मौत खड़ी मिलती थी. लेकिन आज़ादी की इस लड़ायी में सबको संगठित करके पूरे देश को जोड़ने का काम महात्मा गांधी ने किया और अंततः उनके नेतृत्व में भारत को 1947 में आज़ादी मिली. दोस्तों आपकी पढ़ाई भी कुछ इसी तरह है. ये भी एक तरह की लड़ायी है जो कि आपको अज्ञानता के अंधकार से आज़ादी दिलवाएगी. इस वक़्त की हुई मेहनत आपके जीवन को हमेशा के लिए ग़रीबी और अज्ञानता की बेड़ियों से मुक्त कर देगी. दोस्तों ये मौक़ा फिर नहीं आएगा इसलिए इस जंग को जीतने के अलावा कोई और उपाय नहीं. आप सबको मेरी हार्दिक शुभकामनायें.

Lakhs of mothers lost their children and wives their husbands in the Indian Freedom Uprising. It all was started when Shaheed Mangal Pandey refuted to follow orders of his commander Lieutenant Baugh on 29th March 1857 and killed him by a sword. Simultaneously and independently, Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi started the similar movement from Jhansi. This spark spread to the rest of India very soon. The uprising gained momentum when Mahatma Gandhi united the whole nation by his intellect charismatic personality. India became independent on 15th August 1947. However, a good constitution was required to govern the now independent India and that mammoth task was achieved under the chairmanship of Dr BR Ambedkar. Friends, you can think of your journey to NEET and IIT as a freedom movement. This is a battle between life and death. And if you fight it properly, it will be the single most important thing that will free you from the shackles of ignorance and poverty forever. This is the only chance you have in your hands, so just give it your 100%. All the very best.
