Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), would prevent Trump from tapping federal funds for military action against Iran without Congress’s approval, except in cases of self-defense or to prevent an imminent strike. It passed by a vote of 228 to 175, with four Republicans supporting it.  The second, from Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), would repeal the authorization for use of military force that Congress passed to facilitate the 2003 Iraq invasion but that administrations have used since then to justify various hostilities — including Soleimani’s killing. It passed by a vote of 236 to 166, with 11 Republicans supporting it.  Beyond that, this is the latest pathetic example of how far Democrats will go to obstruct the president.  The Democrats’ latest stunt comes after Trump approved drone strikes killed Soleimani and Popular Mobilization Forces leader Abu Mahdi al Muhandis outside Baghdad International Airport.  While Democrats and liberals are rushing to defend the Iranian scum — top military officials say Soleimani was planning “imminent attacks” on Americans that would have most likely killed hundreds.  The attacks would have been conducted on American facilities and workers in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon along with other countries in the region.  And on the same day drone strikes ordered by Trump killed two top Iranian military figures, what former President Barack Obama was spotted doing speaks volumes.
