Making A Cheap Turntable Worthwhile?

I took a very cheap Amazon Lauson Turntable and made it the best it could be.
In the end it was a pleasant sounding table that functions flawlessly, and I have no regrets.
Price of the turntable is now around 40 bucks now making it a very inexpensive project.
