DR CHARLES STANLEY 2020 | THE PURPOSE - PART 1 | FEBRUARY 11, 2020 God has a purpose for our seasons of brokenness. Based on Exodus 2:11-15 and 3:1-4, this message from Dr. Stanley explains that God's purpose in brokenness is to deal with our independent nature that is bent away from Him in order that we may fulfill His great purpose for our lives.
Dr Charles Stanley was born in Dry Fork, Virginia; nine months later his father Charley died. Dr Charles Stanley grew up in rural Dry Fork in the outskirts of Danville. At the age of 12, Dr Charles Stanley became a born-again Christian, and at age 14 Dr Charles Stanley began his life's work in Christian ministry. Dr Charles Stanley received his bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond. Dr Charles Stanley later obtained his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr Charles Stanley received his Th.M. and an Th.D. degrees in theology from then unaccredited Luther Rice Seminary in Florida (which later relocated to Lithonia, Georgia).
