The White House says U.S. President Donald Trump held brief talks on Wednesday with the national security advisors of South Korea and Japan.
During his meeting at the White House with Seoul's Chung Eui-yong and Tokyo's security chief,... Trump is said to have highlighted that the two countries are Washington's strongest allies in the Indo-Pacific region.
He also said he appreciated their support and deep friendship.
The security chiefs are in Washington for trilateral discussions with U.S. National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien over various regional issues.
According to South Korea's National Securiy Council,... the three sides held "great bilateral and trilateral meetings."
It added that they reaffirmed the importance of trilateral cooperation regarding North Korea and Iran.
