10 Crazy and Interesting Facts about the Atlantic Ocean that are probably true. #atlanticocean
This video is about the Atlantic Ocean. It's actually 10 Facts about the Atlantic Ocean! This crazy, and amazing facts video is presented without narration, or music so that you may sit back and relax to the sound of gentle ocean waves. The video was recorded at sunset on Coquina Beach, in North Carolina (Nags Head). The Atlantic Ocean Basin is huge! The Titanic rests at 12,500 ft, but how deep is that compared to the rest of the Ocean? Did you know the ocean floor has mountains? It's called the mid-Atlantic Mountain Range! And, almost 100 years ago, Charles Lindbergh was the first to fly solo across the Atlantic in 1927, followed by Amelia Earhart, the first female to fly solo across the Atlantic in 1928. And that makes sense. But what's really crazy is that telegraph lines were being laid in 1857! The Greek Poet, Stesichorus was the first person to mention the word “Atlantic,” rather, “Atlantikos," around 600BC. But for all we're told about the Bermuda Triangle, it's not even close to being as dangerous and the North Sea! Crazy!
