Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa begins three-day visit to India

Newly elected Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has started a three-day visit to India. He has stressed the need for both countries to collaborate on security and economic development. India has called the visit a "fresh start". Relations between the two countries have been strained because the previous Sri Lankan leader was perceived as being pro-China.
