'BIE allows schools to re-humanize education' - BIE pilot project participant

While our team was in Djibouti last month, we interviewed a pedagogical councillor in History and Geography on the importance of BIE in re-humanizing education:

"What interests me is this idea that, effectively, we want to 'humanise' schools. That's very interesting. You get the impression - and I've been in teaching for 30 years - that school has become very material. Focused on a hectic pursuit of money. So I find myself asking: 'Can we not find a way to attenuate that?' And re-humanize education. And I think that, today, with BIE, we can find the means to do that."
