Even men are happy with 'free bus ride for women' scheme: Delhi Transport Minister The scheme of free ride service in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses has been implemented from Oct 29. Speaking on it, Transport Minister of Delhi, Kailash Gahlot said that even men are happy with the implementation of the scheme. Gahlot said, "We targeted every sector one by one. We targeted the electricity department first, then water, then health. Everything takes its own course of time. It is not possible for any government to roll out all the schemes at one go. The work of the opposition is to oppose and thus, we should let them do their work. They are doing their duty, we are doing ours. Kejriwal government is working for the people of Delhi wholeheartedly." Speaking on the reaction of male members of the society, he said, "There is no complaint from any section of the society, even the men are happy with the scheme." He further spoke about the scenario of transport system in Delhi in coming days and said, "The number of buses will definitely increase in the coming days. We will take every possible step to strengthen the transportation in Delhi."
