‘Renovate, Decorate, Boycott’: Pro-Beijing businesses under attack in Hong Kong | ABC News As Beijing takes a more combative stance against businesses that it accuses of supporting the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong, protesters are upping a campaign of vandalism and boycotts against pro-Beijing businesses.

And, they’re using maps and codes to label and target specific businesses.

State-owned businesses are being trashed, while others that have voiced support for Beijing are being boycotted.

But some have been caught in the cross-fire, and protesters have been forced to apologise and clean up after targeting pro-democracy or Hong Kong-owned businesses by mistake.
