What are the areas you struggle with? Let's do more of these built on what you want to know.
As you've made it this far, you are no longer a beginner. You are now an Advanced Networker and I want to share with you some of the areas I'm working on right now. That is making introductions. The way I typically do that is once I've sat down with someone and decided this is a person who's got their "stuff" together, they know where they are going, and I've thought of a couple of friends that might be able to help them, what I do is I do an intro email, and I do that to both parties. That might look like: "Hey Han. This is my friend Luke. He's trying to get to the other side of the galaxy, and he's a really good dude."
"Hey Luke, this is my friend Han. Questionable dude, yet he does have a spaceship, maybe y'all should grab a cup in Los Eisley, talk about your goals, and see if there are any areas where you can help each other out"
One idea here where I'd encourage everyone to be mindful, please leverage your strongest connections to make introductions too. You want to be sure that when that other person gets your email, not only are they thinking. "That was nice they thought of me", also, "I know this person knows what I'm trying to get after, and this will be a good way to spend my time." If you're able to do those two things in an introduction, you are going to strengthen the relationship of the person you just met, you're going to strengthen the relationship of the person you're introducing the too, and from there you just repeat, and repeat, and repeat. The big takeaway throughout this whole series is, "Networking is all about trying to figure out what the other person needs, and if you can help them, help them. If it's someone in your network, get them connected. By actively working to help people reach their goals, you will maintain a special spot in that person's mind, and your business, and your relationships, and the fun you have... will be through the roof. Hopefully this series was helpful. Please provide feedback on what was good and what needs to get sharper. We're do another round at another date. Jackson Bubolz. I own Elevated Insurance. I love networking, and I'd love to help you "get where you're going." Cheers!
